A luxurious, seamless stay made special by the incredible staff.
We spent 6 nights at the JW Marriott Resort in Mauritius and were extremely satisfied with every aspect of our stay. The hotel itself is stunning—spacious, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. From the moment we arrived, the level of service and hospitality stood out. The Japanese restaurant on-site was a real highlight—delicious food and a fantastic ambiance. But what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone we encountered was kind, polite, and genuinely attentive. A special thank you to Daniel, the Duty Manager, who truly went above and beyond for us. We had a few concerns upon arrival, and he handled everything with such professionalism, intelligence, and experience that within a few hours, everything was completely turned around. His calm, thoughtful approach and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction made a real difference and left a lasting impression on us. Likewise, Afzal, the Front Office Manager, was another standout—warm, efficient, and a true professional. Among the wider team, we’d like to mention Aroumel from the beach and pool area—always kind and attentive, making sure we felt relaxed and cared for. Clyde at the Kids Club brought joy and fun for the little ones, with a natural talent for connecting with children. And perhaps most impressively, Tarvin from the breakfast team—he recognized us by day two and remembered all the little details, from our preferred coffees to how we liked our breakfast. His attention to detail and service truly went above and beyond. This was one of those rare experiences where everything just felt right. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and can wholeheartedly recommend JW Marriott Mauritius to anyone looking for a luxury experience with heart.
If anything, the beach—while truly scenic—has quite shallow water at low tide, and the seabed isn’t the soft, sandy kind, so going barefoot isn’t the most comfortable.

A magical stay with our one year old
This hotel is magical. We originally split our stay in Mauritius and planned to visit the north after this hotel. But we loved it so much that after a horrible experience with the other hotel, we came back here as we felt sooo content here. The staff is extremely nice & perfectly speak English. They did not disturb much but they were always there for us when we needed help. They were very attentive & we really appreciated their gestures. When travelling with a baby, gestures such as offering help in carrying baggages or your plate at breakfast, or simply offering a warmer / fresher meal for my baby because the previous one was out too long, matters a lot. Thank you, once again. The Junior Suite we stayed in was clean very well maintained and we had cleaning twice a day. It was very close to the beach so we enjoyed the sun even if our baby was sleeping. Food was really great as well, we loved the buffet breakfasts / dinners. There was plenty of selection for our one year old baby as well. We had the opportunity to preorder a meal for our baby for dinner which helped a lot to us & they understand simple things like babies can not eat salt / spices so they prepare their meal without it.
There is nothing like that.

More than a five star hotel
JW Marriott Mauritius is a beautiful hotel, but it is fair to say the most special thing about this resort, is people who work there. Each and every member of staff goes out of their way to ensure that your stay is something special. From the general manager the whole way down, everyone takes exceptional care to elevate the experience and I have to commend the hotel for this, above everything else. A huge thanks to everyone there but in particular to: All the staff in the Japanese Restaurant and the chef who went to a huge effort on our last night to make our final meal something more than memorable. It was like a full tasting menu and it was a very kind gesture. Adish Tulloo in the gym, who was the personal trainer for my husband and I, during our stay. He kept us motivated, showed us new methods of training and kept us coming back every day. A real asset to the hotel. Ravi - our butler who went to such effort to make our stay special. He booked every reservation and meet us each and every morning with a smile. Kevin - the concierge who makes sure everything is running smoothly. Matthew in the bar - not just an amazing bar man but also an extremely talented photographer always on hand to take snaps of the guests. Last but not least, Sarvesh in the Boathouse who was so kind and made an impromptu table for us under starlight to enjoy one of our last dinners. You are a true gentleman.

Perfect Vacation, coming back for sure!
Everything was great. The suite was clean, had everything needed. Food was perfect in the breakfast and during the dinner (tried 3 restaurants). The staff were very friendly and helpful specially Boushra who took great care of us and was always following up to make sure she fulfills anything we need. With arrangement with Fathy from the sales team, they offered us complementary massage session which was very nice and unexpected gesture. Same for Ravi, our butler, who was always available and made our stay comfortable and smooth. The birthday cake suprise in my room was also unique and shows how caring the staff are
